We are pleased to present a very special offering from the hot deserts of Northwest Africa. This  meteorite is one of the finest R Chondrites in the world, second in "freshness" only to the R namesake itself - Rumuruti - and you are unlikely to ever see a piece of Rumuruti available for sale. What makes this even more special is the fact that we are offering small "baby" individuals. When is the last time you saw a small individual R-chondrite, let alone a W0? Pricing varies quite a bit from $55 to $95 a gram depending on many factors (size, quality, crust, etc. - the small stones are scarce).

Classification by A.J. Irving, Ph.D.: Clasts containing sparse PO and RP chondrules plus related debris in a darker, fine grained matrix. Olivine (Fa38.8-38.9; FeO/MnO = 90-100), orthopyroxene (Fs30.4Wo1.4), clinopyroxene (Fs10.8-11.6Wo45.4-44.7, Cr2O3 = 0.33-0.55 wt.%), albitic plagioclase, Ti-chromite, troilite and pentlandite.
